We’re Kathy and Carl Leon of Seattle Washington. Carl is retired after serving a career in the U.S. Army followed by private sector careers in the Aerospace and Wireless industries. Kathy is a retired Cytotechnologist.

We both do a lot of volunteer work in our community, ranging from helping out at local elementary schools as tutors and mentors, to working to improve the level of emergency/disaster preparedness in our neighborhoods. Kathy is an active volunteer at the Woodland Park Zoo and Carl also volunteers with King County Search & Rescue, with the Seattle Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and with the Seattle EOC/Auxiliary Communications Services (ACS).

We are also both amateur radio operators. Carl is N7KUW and Kathy is N7RCT. We use our amateur radios and licenses in support of public service events, disaster preparedness activities, and just having some fun and making friendships in the area.

We enjoy touring on our Goldwing Motorcycle. The Photo Albums menu has pictures from some of our travels in 2005 and 2006.
